Mold

The goal of our experienced, licensed inspectors is to find any underlying moisture sources that could possibly be contributing to mold growth. Included in our services is a detailed report of our findings, and if remediation is needed, a protocol/scope of work. This second document can be given to a remediation company to use as a guide to safely remove any mold without affecting the air quality in your home. Because Oasis Indoor Environmental, Inc., does mold testing and inspections only (no mold remediation), our results are unbiased and accurate. There is no conflict of interest.

Moisture Intrusion Investigation

This employs sophisticated instruments such as an Infra-Red Camera and Moisture Meter to find where water is coming into your building, or leaks have occurred. These instruments read behind ceramic tile and other surfaces that the eye cannot see and allow us to trace the moisture to its most likely source. Of course, finding leaks can be hard and finding their source even harder – a challenge we enjoy tackling.

Asbestos

Many older homes still have asbestos-containing materials. Do you have suspect materials in your building that you would like tested? Or are you concerned that a past abatement job was done poorly? Get answers to your questions by hiring Oasis Indoor Environmental, Inc. to perform asbestos testing.

Lead

Our EPA certified inspectors can test for lead paint, lead in water and lead in soil. Testing for lead paint is done in two ways. A Lead Hazard Analysis is a visual inspection that documents potential lead paint hazards. As needed dust or paint chip samples are taken and sent to a lab for analysis. We also offer an XRF lead paint inspection. This employs a highly sophisticated instrument to check all layers of every painted surface for lead. It is highly recommended to test for lead if there are young children in the home.

Lead Clearance

Have you had lead paint removed from your home? Do you have a Dept of Health (DOH) or Home Preservation and Development (HPD) violation? Clearance testing is required to clear lead abatement projects once all work has finished. This testing is used to evaluate the levels of residual lead dust after removal and make sure it does not exceed the city and/or State standard. Oasis Indoor Environmental, Inc.’s lead inspectors are licensed to perform clearance testing.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) / Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ)

Oasis Indoor Environmental, Inc. takes a holistic approach to IAQ/IEQ, inquiring about symptoms, ventilation, odors, and other important details.

Indoor air quality can sometimes be a complex puzzle; however, the goal of our assessment is to not only diagnose the air quality problem but to also provide recommendations on how to cost-effectively rectify any issues. A thorough inspection is performed, checking dust levels, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and humidity. Depending on your needs, we can test for a variety of specific items. We can test for allergens, radon, formaldehyde, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and toxic gases.
